Who We Are

Students for Christ is part of the Global Student Movement of university-age men and women earnestly following Jesus. Our mission is to reconcile students to Christ, equipping them through Spirit-filled communities of prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission to transform the university, the marketplace and the world.

The Global Student Movement is an association of student ministries in many countries. It has its roots in the Pentecostal movement (Assemblies of God, U.S.A.) and seeks in each country to cooperate with the local Pentecostal/charismatic churches.

We see the Church as God’s chosen instrument for proclaiming the gospel and nurturing His people. Students for Christ – Ukraine needs the fellowship, teaching, prayer, and financial support of the local church and seeks to be her missionary representative to the universities.

What We Believe

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, became our vicarious and atoning sacrifice through His death, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will personally return in power and glory to the earth.

All people are sinful, and can be saved only through faith in Jesus Christ. Through Him we are reconciled to God.

The Father and the Son have given the Holy Spirit to regenerate us, transform us into the image of Jesus Christ, and equip us for service. The baptism in the Holy Spirit, by which we are specially enabled for ministry, is available to believers who ask for it. The book of Acts provides the normative pattern for this experience. All the spiritual gifts spoken of in the New Testament are available now and should be sought after.

We long for the return of Christ, at which time God will intervene in human affairs to bring history to a climax and usher in a better world. We believe in the physical resurrection of the dead – the saved to everlasting life and the lost to everlasting damnation.

Until Christ’s return, we are to work faithfully to bring the world to Him through evangelism and discipling. We also are called to minister to all needy people through acts of generosity, kindness, compassion, and prayer.

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired by God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

The Church is the body of Christ, the fullness of Him who fills all. Christ is the Head of His church. All members of His body have direct access to Him and are to live in unity and love for one another.

History

Students for Christ-Ukraine was founded by Eric and Jan Muzart, missionaries with the US Assemblies of God. The Muzarts, with their 4 children, moved to Ukraine in June, 2008.
